Our blog...
When we started our business we thought it would be fantastic to document all noteworthy events so we can look back one day. As your pets are at the centre of everything we do, we thought that they should be the stars of the stories. We hope you enjoy our silly posts and get to read about the antics of your loved ones.
Like what you read?
We understand that our stories are often very silly but we take your loved ones very seriously. Please give us a call or drop us an email to see if we can help you and your pets.

We all love Jess
posted by David Frater, 11 May 2013
Hi there I am Jess the beautiful, brindle boxer who has been staying with David and Caroline for the last two weeks and they love me as I am just so cute, I think they want to keep me!!! My mum says I am sassy because I bark at Hooch and have everyone running round after me. David has to make me toast and butter for breakfast to keep my coat so shiny, he has to always take my ball on the walk so I can race around but what I like best is when he has to pick it up all covered in slobber!!! I love sleeping on the sofa with David, Caroline and Louise and I get loads of treats because I am so beautiful. I hope I can come again because it has been so much fun and I am happy and contented, and of course like any woman have got these men, David and Hooch, pandering to my every whim, how about that girls!!!

Ollie takes David for a walk
posted by David Frater, 11 May 2013
Hi there I am Ollie and even though I am a big handsome boy, I am still really only a baby at 12 months and I rule the roost with David. He walks me three times a week as I can pull my mum over, which is a good game but she doesn't find it funny, can't understand why!!!! We live on a slope and if I charge out the door he has to run to catch up and this was even better fun in the snow and ice. He's getting wiser now and uses an extendable lead, when we are in the park he encourages me to to try and jump in the river but I know his game so I plough through the daffodils instead. We are good friends and I went to his house last week for the day and had great fun with Hooch and I was a VERY good boy, all a plan to lull him into a sense of false security by King Ollie !!!!

Its snowy here as well as Newfoundland

Hi there I am the wonderful Ben, a Newfoundland, whom David has the pleasure of walking, Isn't he a lucky man. I have to let you into a secret, just between us mind you, people think I am scary but I am a gentle giant who loves to play, chase snowballs, find sticks, wade in the brook and eat treats that David always carries in his pocket just level with my nose!!!! When he first walked me I pretended I would not come back so I got spoilt with doggie biscuits but he isn't as daft as he looks fortunately, and I think he has cottoned on to my plan. I have a few friends on the park and love to play with them but at first they didn't recognise me with my new dapper haircut, very smart Ben don't you think? Anyway must dash, games to play and treats to eat.

A blue blue Blue Christmas
posted by David Frater, 13 January 2013
Hi I'm Blue and I am a very friendly collie that just loves to play and be loved. My family went on holiday over Christmas to Florida and I spent the festivities with my friend Hooch. At times he got irritated with me because I just love to have fun and he didn't like being woken up in the middle of the night but I just ignored his grumbling. I had a brilliant time opening presents brought by Santa, eating lots of turkey and other treats, sleeping on the sofa and getting spoilt by all the family. We even managed to pull David over on the frosty steps in the dark which was very funny except for David, of course. I miss my friend Hooch and hope I can go and stay again soon, hint hint mum and dad!!!!

Happy Christmas
posted by David Frater, 14 December 2012

We would just like to wish all our wonderful pets and their equally lovely owners a really Happy Christmas and hope 2013 will be a brilliant year for you all. It might be a good time to book loads of holidays so that Hooch can have plenty of company throughout the year and I can have a beer watching them all play in the garden!!!! Thank you all for your support in our little venture and thanks for all the characters who have been to stay, all the best David, Caroline and Hooch, woof woof
The lovely Leah
posted by David Frater, 15 October 2012
I am the lovely Leah and I live with my best friend Hector and I always look out for him. When David came to stay Hector would bomb him as he came through the door and I found it really funny, and because Hector is so big I can get away with murder, and even when I get caught I use my feminine charms and men like David and Hector fall for it. I got really spoilt and my sweetness got me treats by the bucketful but don't tell my mum. Walks were good fun and because it was early morning there was lots of dew and I made David towel me down for ages. We were well in control, had a lovely time and hope he comes again soon x
Hector the Colossus
posted by David Frater, 15 October 2012
Hi there I am Hector and whilst I may look very fierce I am in fact just a gentle giant but you must keep that to yourself. David came to look after me and Leah when our family were sunning themseves and didn't take us with them BUT we had a lovely time and got really spoilt. We had long walks, got loads of treats and I persuaded David that not only did I need to sit on his feet when he was watching television but if I slept on the bedroom floor I could keep him safe. We had a lovely time and it was funny when I used to virtually knock David over whenever he came in, we can't wait till he comes again!!!!!
Anything but Dizzy!!!
posted by David Frater, 15 April 2012
Hi there I am Dizzy, a beautiful 'lady' Greyhound and I have to put up with both Harry and David on our regular walks together. Sometimes, if the weather is not nice or I am just being fussy, I pretend I don't want to go for a stroll but really I love it when we get out there. I am very gentle and amble around the park being aloof while Harry plays around but I do like treats and get them as I walk so close to David, my head is virtually in his pocket. I love to sniff and our walks can take forever which just shows who is the boss and yes, daffodils are my favourite flower as well.
Harry and the daffodils
posted by David Frater, 15 April 2012
Hi there I am Harry a whippet/saluki cross and David has the most enviable job of taking me and my 'sister' Dizzy for a walk, playing with us in the garden and giving us lots of treats and toys when he goes. I love walking through the daffodils in the park and try very hard to ignore David when he says I should stay on the path, bless him he does try. I don't like other dogs bounding up to me and like my film namesake I growl at them, saying in doggie language 'do you feel lucky punk' and 'go ahead make my day', they always retreat. I am a lovely boy but just like my own space and love going for a walk especially when David thinks he is in charge but we all know ........ he's not!!!

The Bear comes to Burton
posted by David Frater, 05 April 2012
Hi there I'm Rolo and I stayed with Hooch for nearly two whole weeks and had loads of fun. I am a chocolate labrador but I think everyone thought I was a ferocious and fearsome bear but in real terms I am a big softie who loves everyone and had great fun at David's. I spent a lot of time in the garden, had a lovely swim in my private pool, convinced him both Hooch and I should have three walks and three MEALS every day and because of the warm weather I turned his blue carpet almost brown, Ha. I think David misses me and would have liked to keep me but don't worry I will be coming back for another holiday in October.
