Dog walking
Waggy Welcome will give your dog a happy walk with plenty of interaction (we both chat to the dogs constantly and sometimes their answers are quite amusing!) You
will be able to come home and relax after a hard day’s work rather than take the dog out for a walk. All dog walking services will be tailored to your individual
commitments and schedules.
FAQ
Q: Will my dog be walked for the full half hour or hour etc?
A: Yes, we do not expect you to pay for our travelling time or the time it takes to do a towelling after a wet walk.
Q:Do we meet before you take my dog out?
A: We arrange a meeting before so that we can get to know you and your dog. This is the only way to make an individualised plan for each pet. This meeting is free of charge.
Q: What do you do in case of emergency?
A: There are all sorts of emergency but I assume you mean an injury to your pet. First of all we would make every effort to contact you so that you are informed right from the start. We would then go to or seek advice from your vet or the one we use for our own dog.
Q:Will my dog be walked with other dogs?
A: We walk all dogs individually unless there are two from the same household who are used to being walked together.
Q:Will my dog be allowed off the lead?
A: We would always want to walk on lead for a couple of times to assess the dog’s reactions to other dogs, people, the walker etc. Then , with your permission, we would let him/ her off lead in a secure, dog friendly place.
Q: Do you have any insurance?
A: We are insured through the National Association of Registered Petsitters.
Q: Are you police checked?
A: We both have recent CRB checks in place.
Q: My dog is not spayed or neutered. Will you still walk him/her?
A: As walks are conducted on lead, this is not a problem
Q: How do I pay you?
A: We accept cash or cheques but do not have the facility to deal with credit/debit cards.
Q: What areas's do you operate in?
A: We work in the local Burton area and nearby villages.
Q: What security measures do you have?
A: We do not arrive at your property in a marked van or wear uniforms. Your key will be labelled with the pet’s name and no cross referenc e to you is made. Keys are kept in a securely mounted key safe.
